Who are we?

ToyHorse was founded during the production of RAGS (2025). This was Katie and Laura’s second time making theatre together, solidifying their ability to create collaboratively. RAGS was a devised performance, stemming from memories associated with childhood toys. The performance featured a colourful toy horse, which resonated with the creators through the duration of the show, and now lives in Katie’s home! This horse, worn down from years of love, was further able to be transformed across this performance. This highlighted the central message which ToyHorse wants to communicate, that creativity can be found in every aspect of life. Thus ToyHorse Theatre was born.

ToyHorse Theatre consists of two performance artists; Laura Bisset and Katie Gray. Their previous works have been in collaboration with larger groups of theatre makers. The pair strive to create political, innovative performances, linked to their shared dream of changing the world through performance!
